Practice typing correction signs is here to help you with those shortened words found in your tasks such as the typing of business letters, memos, etc.
There are times when your employer may quickly draft out these documents if it is urgent or he is in a hurry to go somewhere or do other things in his office. He expects you to complete his correction signs for his document as you type them.
As you know we all feel great when typing a clearly written piece of handwritten work. Then suddenly as we begin to type it a difficult shortened form slows us down. We will now have to take some time and try to figure out what it stands for. Sometimes it becomes easy as we read back the sentence and quickly notices the meaning but other times we may try hard but fail to recognize the meaning.
We then wish if only we can just figure out the word to quickly move on and get the work over and done with. Has this ever happen to you?
It used to happen to me many times when I first started typing at my new job. I know what the feeling is like. To spare you such tension I have decided to draw up a list of them for you to go through in your spare time.
Below are some of these shortened words and its meaning. Some of them you may already know but others might be new to you. Quickly go them over and get to know those you may have seen for the first time.
